I was going through one of my journals and I found this title “This Flesh Is A Mess” referencing to the scripture where Paul goes into a deep self-analysis…. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. (Romans 7:14-19 NKJV)

Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. (Romans 7:20-25 NKJV)
The apostle Paul’s insight into the struggle between the flesh and the spirit is a powerful reminder that we are all in a constant battle to do what is right. It’s so easy to get discouraged when we see the presence of evil around us, but this should actually be a source of encouragement for us. It means that we are not alone in our struggle and that we are not the only ones facing this challenge. (Romans 7:20-25 NKJV)

When we encounter evil in the world, it’s an opportunity for us to shine even brighter with our good deeds. (Matthew 5:16 NKJV) Instead of being disheartened by the presence of evil, we can use it as a motivation to be a beacon of light in a dark world. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, and every gesture of love has the power to push back against the darkness.
Yes, our flesh may be weak, but our spirit is strong. We have the power to overcome the evil around us by walking in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16-18) We can choose to align ourselves with the God that is within us and allow Him to guide our actions. It’s not always an easy choice, but it is a choice that we are capable of making every single day.

We can also take comfort in the fact that we are not left to fight this battle on our own. (2 Chronicles 20:15) We have the support of Almighty God, our faith, and other believers. When we come together with others who share our values and beliefs, we can find the strength and encouragement we need to keep doing good in the face of evil.
Let us not be discouraged by this constant battle between flesh and spirit. Instead, let’s embrace the opportunity to be a force for good. Let’s remember to walk in the Spirit, choose to do good, and support each other along the way. (Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV) Together, we can make a positive difference in the world.
Thank you all so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
