While tidying the kitchen, my laboratory and think tank—it occurred to me; a lot of us don’t see our destinies, not because we don’t have the gifts or talents because God has already given us everything we need in Christ Jesus. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:2-4 NKJV)
Could it be that we really don’t have the discipline to see that dream or desire through to the end at the finish line? Is it not written…Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NKJV)
Delighting ourselves in the Lord exactly what does that mean? It simply means that when you find true joy and satisfaction in God above all else, your heart’s desires will align with His will, and He will fulfill those desires that are truly good for you; essentially by prioritizing your relationship with God, you will find contentment and fulfillment in the things of this life that truly matter.
Which brings us to the text…But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 NKJV)

Remember what Solomon asked God for in a dream at Gibeon? Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” (I Kings 3:9-12 NKJV)

Solomon’s destiny ended poorly because he allowed his heart to be replaced by pagan idols of pagan wives — choices he made. But if we CHOOSE to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and love our neighbor as ourself then we have delighted ourselves in the Lord and find our desires aligned with His will then perhaps we may find ourselves at the finish line of our destinies.
Thank you all so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
