Got Wisdom?

Yesterday was talking to Christina, she is more like one of the kids because she, in a way, grew up with them and we oftentimes talk to uplift each other checking in to make sure she and son are okay.

Somehow in the conversation she began speaking on the subject of wisdom and it hit my spirit and I took a few notes…

She reminded me of how blessed we were to have the stamina and strength God had given us to be resilient. Giving a comparative analogy: “We are like the phoenix who again rises from the ashes of our trials and tribulations but when we rise from those ashes we rise with more wisdom.”

Wisdom plays a crucial role in guiding our decisions and shaping our relationships. It’s more than just knowing facts; it’s understanding how to apply knowledge effectively. Proverbs 4:7 captures this sentiment perfectly: “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” This scripture reminds us to prioritize wisdom in our lives.

Life is full of experiences, each teaching us valuable lessons. These lessons contribute to our wisdom, making it an ever-evolving quality. When we face challenges, our responses shape our understanding and deepen our insights. Over time, these experiences accumulate, enriching our perspective and enhancing our decision-making capabilities. Sharpening our gifts of discernment.

Christina’s metaphor of the phoenix highlights resilience beautifully. Just like the mythical bird, we often encounter trials that can feel overwhelming. However, when we rise from these challenges, we emerge stronger and often wiser than before.

Each obstacle we overcome contributes to our wisdom. Challenges force us to adapt, learn, and grow. The lessons learned during tough times often stick with us. They provide clarity and help us develop a sense of empathy towards others facing similar struggles. This shared understanding can foster deeper connections not only with people but also with God.

Wisdom is a powerful tool that shapes our lives and experiences. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. (James 3:13 NKJV) By recognizing its importance and embracing resilience, we can enhance our ability to make thoughtful decisions.

The journey of gathering wisdom requires patience and introspection, but it ultimately leads to a stronger trust in God. As He helps us navigate the rugged paths of life, remember to seek wisdom and understanding daily.

Is it not written? “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10 NKJV)

Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
