As I sat down with my trusty spiral notebook this morning, pondering what message to share with my readers, a powerful scripture came to mind – Galatians 6:7. The words echoed in my mind, Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. These words hold so much truth and wisdom, reminding us of the importance of our actions and the consequences they bring.
I was reminded of a conversation I had with my dear friend Alicia years ago. She shared with me her perspective on this very topic, emphasizing the significance of planting good seeds versus bad ones. “Whether we plant good seeds or bad ones, we will reap the consequences”, she wisely said. Her words stuck with me, serving as a constant reminder to be mindful of the seeds I sow in my own life.

As I reflect on Alicia’s words and the scripture from Galatians, I am reminded of the power of our choices and actions. Every decision we make, every word we speak, every deed we do – they all have an impact. Just like a seed planted in the ground, our actions have the potential to grow and bear fruit, whether good or bad. “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.” (Matthew 12:33 NKJV)
For those of us who follow Christ, this truth holds even greater weight. As believers, we are called to live a life that honors God and reflects His love and grace to others. Our actions should be a reflection of our faith, sowing seeds of kindness, compassion, and love wherever we go.
But let us not be deceived – the choices we make matter. We cannot mock God or His laws, thinking that we can sow seeds of negativity, selfishness, or disobedience without consequence. Just as a farmer reaps what he sows, so too will we reap the fruits of our actions.
So let us be intentional about the seeds we plant in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Let us choose words of encouragement over criticism, acts of kindness over selfishness, and love over hate. And may we always remember that whatever we sow, we will also reap.
Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
