For a month, a theme has stirred in my spirit. Not loud, not obvious—but persistent. And in the past week, it’s come together in pieces, like breadcrumbs leading me somewhere deeper…
Let me say it plainly: The Bible isn’t a buffet where we choose the sweet and skip the bitter. It’s a living word meant to be consumed fully and intentionally. “Then He said to me, ‘Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.’” (Ezekiel 3:1 NKJV)

Whether we like it or not. we don’t get to pick only the blessings and avoid the refining. Because the Word isn’t just for our comfort—it’s also for our correction. Is it not written, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.“(2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV) To truly grow, we have to chew the Word through every season, not just the easy ones.
Even the timing of life reflects God’s design: “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest…shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22 NKJV)
Some seasons you’re sowing. Others, you’re growing. And sometimes, you are the seed being buried, broken, and prepared for new life. That part isn’t glamorous, but it’s necessary.

Every season we do not reap. But when we do—We always reap according to what we’ve sown and the condition of our hearts. “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” (2 Corinthians 9:6 NKJV) And when we are blessed to reap, we must remember that reaping isn’t always about material increase. Sometimes our harvests come in the form of wisdom, healing, or clarity.

So we ask ourselves—what are we sowing? Where? And most importantly, why? Because to reap the fullness of God, we must also be willing to walk through the fullness of process. When we commit to eating the whole roll, we invite transformation, not convenience. God’s Word shapes us, even when it challenges us. So today, let’s not just read to be encouraged—let’s read to be refined.
Prayer:
Father, give me the courage to embrace every season You place before me. Help me not to resist the uncomfortable truths or delay obedience when it feels difficult. Let my sowing be intentional and my reaping be aligned with Your purpose. Make my faith strong enough to trust even in buried seasons. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next week blessings and peace!
