While staring at my computer monitors, this question has been tugging at my mind for some three days now…”What is happening to humanity?”

I am very cognizant of the fact that we’ve been living in this digital age for what might seem like a way of life for those BAW (Born After Windows). I’m beginning to sense that this age of technology is not just a tool but is actively shaping and programming us, with artificial intelligence stepping into the role of a guiding force for a generation with no moral compass or emotional fortitude for its own humanity.

The word of God teaches us that all things must be done in moderation. (I Corinthians 6:12 NKJV) This text teaches us that moderation is a virtue, promoting balance and self-control to avoid excess. We as Believers need to establish a middle ground seeking balance, which is inherently linked to self-discipline and comes with the maturity to say “no” to oneself, even to things that are not inherently wrong but can be overindulged. We must cultivate self-discipline to navigate the digital landscape effectively. Proverb 25:16 really drives this point home…Have you found honey? Eat only as much as you need, Lest you be filled with it and vomit.

Today, it seems everyone is absorbed in texting or emailing, with even voicemails becoming automated. While these methods of communication bring convenience, they’re also consuming our attention and presence from the Lord.
At this rate, the day may come when personal phone calls are a thing of the past. Without the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the wisdom of God’s Word, we risk becoming a generation of mindless wonders, heading toward a future devoid of true humanity, driven solely by madmen’s insatiable greed for wealth and power.
When will this spiral of madness end? Will we find ourselves transformed into entities defined by silicon, evolving into something devoid of God’s goodness?
This question lingers in my mind as I continue to ponder what is truly happening to humanity.
