Saturday morning, I got up feeling like a new creature in Christ for real!!! I felt like a new page had turned in my life. I never felt so much joy, love, and happiness as I felt yesterday. It’s like that person you’d always wanted to be finally hatched! New beginnings and it’s not even New Year’s yet! Who knew! This must be one of those suddenlies I read about in God’s word!
I opened the curtains and looked outside. The sky was blue, clouds were moving, the Son was shining…it’s like that song…”I’ve been taking on a new direction”, or as Patti sang…I got a new attitude! All of my favorite songs were playing, and the lyrics were never more profound and clear.

Remember in the movie A Christmas Carol, when Scrooge opens the window on Christmas Day, he asks the boy outside, “What’s today, my fine fellow?” and then says to himself, “It’s Christmas Day!” He is delighted to find that the spirits had completed their work in one night, and he is still on Christmas Day, exclaiming, “I haven’t missed it!” That’s how I’m feeling —“Thank God he woke me up today, I haven’t missed it!”

Now I know how new wine fills a new wine skin! Perhaps all of those burdens I gave to God in prayer finally fell off. The Thanksgiving Holiday might’ve been this past Thursday, and I was so thankful for that day, but this morning, as I sit at this keyboard, all I can feel in my heart is a new praise in my soul! Thank You, LORD!
To feel the Lord’s love flooding over you—it’s just no way to explain it. That scripture “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5 NKJV) comes to mind.
Not only spiritually, but physically, I feel like David … For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. (Psalm 18:29 NKJV)
Beloved, it is so true…
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NKJV)
No, my life isn’t perfect, but my God is! I declare and decree that this is a new day!
My prayer for you all today is that the blessings of the Lord overtake you in those places where you are looking for a breakthrough. And when you see and feel God breaking through the dark clouds of your life, may your joy be greater than what I feel today! Blessings and Peace!
Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Have a blessed new week!

I am too. It’s been a long time coming. But, I know in God’s timing a change was going to come!
