You Shall Not See Me Until…

Trying to find a subject to write about this morning, came across this scripture in my notebook of scribbles…

There are moments in life when a single sentence lingers long after it’s spoken—words that feel weighty, almost prophetic. One such line has echoed through generations:

assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Luke 13:35b NKJV)

This statement isn’t just ancient Scripture; it’s a reminder of recognition, readiness, and transformation. It speaks to the idea that some truths can only be seen when our hearts are aligned with them. It challenges us to consider what we’re missing simply because we’re not yet prepared to acknowledge it.

In our own lives, how often do we overlook the people, opportunities, and blessings right before us because we aren’t ready—emotionally, spiritually, or mentally—to recognize their value? Sometimes, the change has to happen within us before the gift can be seen.

When Jesus spoke these words, He was pointing to a future moment of clarity—a time when the people would finally understand who He was. But this message carries a personal meaning for each of us today. Breakthroughs are waiting on the other side of our openness, healing that comes only after surrender, wisdom that appears only when we stop resisting and start welcoming.

Growth often requires humility. Recognition requires softened vision. And sometimes the presence of God, or the clarity of purpose, remains hidden until we are ready to receive it.

So today, pause and ask: What am I unable to see because I’m not yet willing to welcome it?

And remember, transformation begins when we’re ready to say, “Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord”—ready to embrace what is good, what is healing, and what is meant to lead us forward.

Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Have a blessed new week!
