Can You Find A Praise?

Monday morning, when I was blessed to open my eyes and step out of bed—I was in the bathroom when a song hit my spirit. The name of the song is I Will Bless the Lord by Byron Cage. I went into my office, and guess what the name of the first song on my playlist was? You guessed it…I Will Bless the Lord!

I began thinking about David, who danced before the LORD. David, who’d been through what looked to be so many impossible trials….Warrior King. Always victorious because the LORD was with him. I began dancing before the Lord, just thanking Him, with tears rolling down my face. David said, “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1 NKJV)

David wrote Psalm 34 as a prayer of thanksgiving to praise and thank God for miraculously delivering him from a life-threatening situation in the Philistine city of Gath. Your situation may or may not be life-threatening. What are you trusting God to miraculously deliver you from?

And if He hasn’t yet, keep praising Him in your Hallway of Patience until your door opens. Yet is a 3-letter word that is quite versatile. Used as an adverb, yet means up until this time or still. But when used as a conjunction, it means nevertheless. He may not have delivered you up until this time, or He still hasn’t delivered you yet…Nevertheless, are you willing to give Him praise up until this time?

We must remember He is the God of suddenlies, and these suddenlies occur for three reasons:

  • For Deliverance: “Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose” (Acts 16:26 NKJV)
  • For Provision: “Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting” (Acts 2:2 NKJV).
  • For Prophetic Fulfillment: “I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass” (Isaiah 48:3 NKJV).

Can you find the praise that’s been buried deep down under those battles that looked infinite because you forgot you have an eternal God on your side whose power supersedes the infinite? The infinite is immeasurable…He created the immeasurable. His power and authority are immeasurable. There is nothing out of reach that He cannot touch.

“Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.” (Isaiah 59:1)

This post is for all of those who thought they’d never see the light of day! Take off that spirit of heaviness and put on your garment of praise! And come out of that dark tunnel into the marvelous light!

Beloved, always remember…Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!

Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Be and stay blessed
