For those who know me know that I’m a musician—vocals are one of the many gifts God has blessed me with. And as I’ve written in many blogs, in our search for inspiration and hope, you may get a word from a scripture in the Bible from meditating on that word, a line from a movie, a word from a song playing on the radio, or someone may say a catchy phrase or a word that resonates in your mind.

This morning was mulling over what to write about and I was listening to a song by Stevie Wonder that said “When you feel your life’s too hard just go have a talk with God.” And some of us are in that place right now.

Some may think that no one’s listening…But I know that God is listening and He sees all things. Is it not written “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer” (1 Peter 3:12). “The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous” (Proverbs 15:29). “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).

No matter who you are, where you are, or what you’ve done, God is still there for you with open arms—His arms are never too short to grab you out of your situation, no matter what it may be. Just trust in Him and talk to Him. He hears your cries…

Lead them to conclude that for them life is not the way
But every problem has an answer, and if yours you cannot find

He’ll give you peace of mind
