Let The Word Uplift You

In the Gospel of John 12:32, Jesus declares, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” These words were spoken in the shadow of the cross. Jesus knew that “being lifted up” meant more than elevation — it meant crucifixion. It meant sacrifice. It meant love on display for the whole world to see.

But within this solemn statement is a powerful promise: I will draw all people unto Me. The cross was not only a symbol of suffering; it became the greatest act of divine attraction in time. When Jesus was lifted up, He revealed the heart of God — mercy stronger than sin, grace deeper than shame, and a love that refuses to let humanity go. The lifting up of Christ became the turning point of history, where brokenness met redemption.

Today, we don’t stand at the foot of a physical cross in Jerusalem, but we encounter its power through the Word of God. When Scripture lifts up Jesus — His sacrifice, His resurrection, His victory — something happens inside us. Our perspective shifts. Our burdens feel lighter. Our hope is restored.

This is where the theme “Let the Word uplift you” comes alive. The Word of God continually lifts up Christ before our eyes. Every promise, every prophecy, and every gospel account points to Him. And as Christ is lifted up through the Word, we are drawn closer to Him. Not by force. Not by fear. But by love.

The world often tries to uplift us with temporary encouragement — motivational quotes, self-help advice, or fleeting affirmations. While these may inspire for a moment, they cannot transform the soul. Only the Word, centered on the lifted Savior, has the power to truly elevate our hearts.

When you feel weary, let the Word uplift you. When guilt weighs heavily, let the message of the cross remind you that forgiveness has already been secured. When uncertainty clouds your path, let the risen Christ — once lifted up in sacrifice, now lifted up in glory — steady your steps. Jesus promised that when He was lifted up, He would draw all people to Himself. That drawing continues every time His story is proclaimed. Every time Scripture is opened. Every time faith rises in response.

So open the Word. See Christ lifted up. And as He draws you closer, allow His truth to lift you higher — above fear, above doubt, and into the unshakable hope found only in Him.

Thank you so much for your support and your continued readership. Have a blessed new week!
