This morning, I was watching YouTube because I felt myself spiraling into a place of sorrow and pain. Yet at the same time, I started to understand those feelings and why I felt that way. When you’ve been married to someone for a long time, you become a part of them and they become a part of you. Which makes a whole other person. (Genesis 2:24 NKJV) So when you lose that person, you feel as though half of you is missing. You feel divided and lost. Where is that other half of you now?

Although your spirit is still intact, your heart aches, and you find yourself on an unknown path of discovery, which is designed to reveal more completely who you are and what you are destined to be and do. The decisions you make from this point will affect the outcome of your future, so you must proceed with caution—not emotions. Right now is not the time to become distracted by holding onto the things of the past too long and being self-absorbed with intense sorrow. No, there is nothing wrong with holding on to fond memories, but not letting go will only cause you more undue pain, which can lead to negative outlets instead of positive ones. And the further from God you get, the weaker your resolve becomes.

This is why it is paramount to accept the fact that life is composed of changes from one day to the next. That’s where spiritual growth comes from—change. And no matter the circumstance, change is hard, and complacency is so easy. Therefore, to find that whole person again, you must have the mindset to follow the flow of the Spirit of Almighty God and grow. Why? Because there are things about yourself that you still do not know or are yet to discover before you can progress spiritually or mentally. Somewhere deep inside your spirit, you must grasp the fortitude to spend time in the presence of God so that you can obtain the insight and revelation you desire. Is it not written Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart? (Psalm 37:4 NKJV) When you seek the LORD with your whole heart He will show you wonders in the heavens and reveal realities on the earth that will expand your knowledge and vision. He did it for Peter, why can’t He do it for you? (Matthew 16:17 NKJV)

In the final analysis, this too is a process because none of us knows what the future holds, not even the angels in heaven. (Matthew 24:36 NKJV) Therefore, you must be obedient and prepared to go with the flow of change and growth without any forethought or hesitation. Remember, indecision will only steal time, and procrastination is a trap. Take it one day at a time, constantly seeking the wisdom of God and working with what He’s given you—you will soon find that empty half being filled with the true purpose of God and realize that He has been with you the entire time. Instead of spiraling into a place of pain and sorrow you will be spinning in the joy of the Lord! As he told Jeremiah, you will hear in your spirit man…For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV)
May the Blessings of the LORD be with you today and always. Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next Sunday…Blessings and Peace!
