In 2 Kings Chapter 6 verses 15-17 we find…And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
Sometimes life deals us heavy blows and it looks as though we are defeated before the battle even begins. But I submit to you “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 NKJV) When we allow fear to overtake us because in our panic we forget to see that particular situation or circumstance through the eyes of faith—in that moment we have to also remember what Jesus said…and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:20 NKJV)
In that moment our eyes must be opened to God’s reality…
In that moment our eyes must be opened to God’s reality—not the world’s. And the only way to see God’s reality is by worshiping Him in spirit and in truth. Then once you are ushered into the truth by the Holy Spirit through the work of Jesus Christ you will be able to see clearer— have a better understanding.

In other words, “by the powers and gifts which are his, the Holy Spirit confronts man with truth, with reality. He makes the way open for man to come to the truth, both in the understanding of his mind and the actions of his person. This is what Jesus means by, you shall know the truth, and truth shall make you free. (John 8:32 NKJV) To conform once again to things as they really are is liberation from the lie. All of this is the effect of the work of Christ, and the application of it by the Spirit of Truth.” (G. Bingham)
Therefore, the next time you find yourself in what you think is a no-win situation remember to pray and ask God to allow you to see the core of the situation for what it truly is. That your blinders be removed and the truth revealed. And just like Elisha’s servant, you may be able to see the situation for what it really is!
May the Blessings of the LORD be with you today and always. Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next Sunday…Blessings and Peace!
