Conclusion

Last week we were in 2 Kings Chapter 7 discussing how sometimes in life, we feel like Chicken Little—life is falling on our heads and we are surrounded by insurmountable odds, but as Elisha told his servant. “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6:16 NKJV) And that same Elisha gave a word to the people who were surrounded by the Syrians…“Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ (2 Kings 1:7 NKJV) We must make sure that when we hear God’s word we have an understanding of what that word means— and grasp the revelation of it.

As we continue in 2 Kings Chapter 7 we find…Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now, therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.”(2 Kings 7:3-4 NKJV) These leprous men were considered outsiders of the church but somehow they managed to grab the revelation…There comes a time in your life when you have to make a conscious decision. You’re either going to believe God or you’re not. You’re either going to stand on what God says or you’re not. When the word of God goes out you have to grab and hold onto it. David said “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee.” (Psalm 119:11 KJV) Let the word of God that goes out stir up your spirit and infiltrate your heart. No matter what your situation looks like hold on to the word. Whose report will you believe? We are going to believe the report of the Lord. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV)
And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians…

And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives. And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid it. (2 Kings 7:5-8 NKJV)
The next time you feel like you are surrounded by the enemy and your situation looks hopeless. Just like those four leprous men, you will have to make a conscious decision. We serve a God who is a God of inclusion because He sent his son to die for all of us (John 3:16 NKJV) and is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11 NKJV). Your situation may look like it is in total antithesis to what God said. But no matter what always remember if God be for you then who can be against you. Now the only question is … Are you going to stand?
Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!
