And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:41-42 NKJV)
Being in the form of a man Jesus battled within himself, knowing that he had to go to the cross to make the ultimate sacrifice. An appointed time He’d lived with all his life. He was in great agony. Yet an angel strengthened him and he prayed even more until his sweat became like drops of blood. (Luke 22:43-44 NKJV)
Our flesh always tries to take us into a place that is in total opposition to God’s word. Apostle Paul reiterates on this wise… For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. (Romans 7:22-23 NKJV)
But like Jesus, we must meet these challenges as he did with a nevertheless answer…
But like Jesus, we must meet these challenges as he did with a nevertheless answer instead of allowing ourselves to be taken into captivity by the enemy or walking in fear instead of faith, How do we accomplish this?
By staying on the path that God ordained for your feet no matter how rough the going might seem—nevertheless… Pray—Father please lead me in the paths of righteousness For Your name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3b NKJV)

By shutting out all the noise and obeying God’s voice—nevertheless. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” (John 10:22-30 NKJV)
By praying and fasting—no matter how busy your schedule or how delectable that dish might look—nevertheless… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16 NKJV) Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. (Ezra 8:21 NKJV)
You must learn to forgive folks…
And finally, no matter how people mistreat you forgive them—nevertheless… You must learn to forgive folks because if you don’t forgive them how can you expect to be forgiven? (Matthew 6:14-15 NKJV) And it also blocks your progression as a child of God. If you are still saying “I can forgive but I can’t forget. Then you still haven’t forgiven and you are still carrying unforgiveness in your heart. With this attitude, you are causing yourself to be stuck instead of going to the next level in God. You know from faith to faith and glory to glory? Here your prayer should be…“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10 NKJV)
By choosing these actions we can meet our challenges with a nevertheless answer and trust God to see us through every step of the way.
Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Until next week…Blessings and Peace!

Marvelous post! I was taken by the message of overcoming all the noise, as the Spirit was speaking to me about this very issue today. Have to love these confirmations of His.

You know Jon. The battles we fight are in the mind. So we have to clear our minds of all distractions or as I say, “tell my mind to shut its mouth.” Oftentimes there are so many thoughts running through our minds we can’t hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to us. Thank Him for His confirmation.
