1. Reflect on the verse: Spend time meditating on Matthew 11:29 and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal its meaning for your life. What does it look like to “take his yoke upon you” and “learn from him”?
  2. Honest self-evaluation: Be willing to admit areas where you struggle with pride, control, or the need to be in charge. Ask the Lord to reveal these areas to you and give you the courage to let go. (Psalm 139:23-24 NKJV)
  3. Intentional learning: Seek out opportunities to learn more about Jesus. This could include reading the Gospels, attending a Bible study, or spending quiet time in prayer and meditation. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart and mind to his teachings. (Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV)
  4. Practice humility daily: Look for small ways to practice humility each day. This could be as simple as being patient with a difficult person, admitting when you’re wrong, or serving others without expecting anything in return. (1 Peter 5:5-6 NKJV)
  5. Persevere in prayer: Commit to regular prayer, asking Jesus to guide you in your journey towards humility and rest. Ask him to show you how to find peace in his presence and to trust in his care for you. (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV)
