Conclusion
Last week I was sharing some of the miraculous things we watched the Holy Spirit do. And we ended on the question of how did I arrive at that place—that secret place? I propose to you that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 1:6 KJV) And that reward is greater than any tangible thing on this planet…
Having an entire week to meditate on that question. The conclusion of the whole matter was a matter of discipline and obedience. What do I mean by discipline and obedience?
The word of God says Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) And another text reads “Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:22 KJV).

My boss and I never started a day of work without prayer. Stayed in God’s word—even at work. That was the advantage of having my own office. Whenever I was caught up on my work would close the door crack that Bible and study God’s word. Prayed at every opportunity—even in my personal time. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, would go on a fast when instructed. (John 16:12-14 KJV) When the Holy Spirit spoke I took heed to that instruction. Any given moment you could come into our bedroom and look on the bed and you might see a Greek-Hebrew Study Bible, King James Bible, Concordance, Strong’s Dictionary, and a Matthew Henry Commentary. Was literally immersed in God’s word. Or you might find me in a hallway of the house reading the Aprocryphyl. Some nights the Holy Spirit would rouse me from my sleep at 2 or 3am and give me instructions before going into my prayer closet. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. (Matthew 6:6-7 KJV)

When the Holy Spirit said “Turn off the TV, it’s study time” that’s what I did. Some days was instructed to lay out before the Lord—did that. Some days was instructed to just go into praise and worship—did that too. Always listened to the Holy Spirit and never failed at every opportunity to apply the word of God. Went to more than just one church service on Sunday or throughout the week. Told any and everybody who’d listen about Jesus Christ. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. (Luke 14:22-24 KJV)
On the nights I taught Bible Study — would come in from work take a power nap and when I woke up felt like I’d had an 8-hour sleep. Held prayer meetings on Saturdays. Whatever commitments I made — was sure to keep them. Because I learned early on in ministry that your integrity means a lot-without integrity what does one truly have? It takes consistency, diligence, and obedience—a constant fire burning in your spirit—and not just when you’re in church.
And if you desire to see the miraculous of God this is where you need to be.
In other words, I was totally sold out for God—still am. Still believe in Him and His written word. Still believe Jesus IS the son of God who hung upon the cross—died and was resurrected on the third day. Still believe in the power of the Holy Ghost. You see beloved Psalm 91:1 reads He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The KJV Dictionary defines dwell 1. To abide as a permanent resident, or to inhabit for a time; to live in a place; to have a habitation for some time or permanence. And if you desire to see the miraculous of God this is where you need to be.

Remember what God spoke to Israel? And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 KJV)
